SIMPLE PAST (BE)

 WHAT IS IT?

Is a verb tense in English used to talk about actions or events that occurred in the past and have already been completed occurred is formed by adding the past form of the verb, which generally adds '-ed' to the regular verb.

However, For irregular verbs, the past form can udry. 

AFIRMATIVE:

S + Verb in the past (was or were) + C                                                                                                           -Was: I, she, he and it.                                                                                                                                   -Were: They, we and you. 

NEGATIVE:

S + Verb in the past + Negation + C                                                                                                               -Was not = Wasn't.                                                                                                                                        -Were not = Weren`t.

INTERROGATIVE CLOSED:

Verb in the past + S + C + ?

INTERROGATIVE OPEN:

Pronouns interrogatives + Verb in the past + S + C + ?

EXAMPLE:

+ She was at the party.                                                                                                                                  - She wasn't at the party.                                                                                                                              ? Was she at the party?                                                                                                                                  ? Where was she?
